Bases

1. El XIII Festival Internacional de Teatro Amateur de Girona se celebrará en esta ciudad entre los días 27 al 31 de agosto del 2013.

2. Los grupos interesados en participar deben rellenar el formulario de inscripción que se encuentra en esta web, imprimirlo y enviarlo, juntamente con el dossier del espectáculo y un vídeo en formato DVD, a la siguiente dirección: Casa de Cultura de Girona. Festival Internacional de Teatre Amateur (FITAG). Plaça Hospital, 6. 17002 GIRONA (ESPAÑA).

3. El plazo de presentación de propuestas finaliza el 8 de abril del 2013 y es improrrogable.

4. A partir del 29 de abril de 2013, la comisión organizadora del Festival dará a conocer los grupos que hayan sido seleccionados.

5. Dado el carácter internacional de este Festival, hay que tener en cuenta que el público puede ser de culturas diferentes y por lo tanto, se expresa en lenguas distintas. Se priorizarán aquellas obras que por sus características dramatúrgicas,
puedan ser bien comprendidas con independencia de la lengua utilizada en la interpretación. El festival está abierto también a cualquier propuesta de teatrodanza o teatro gestual.

6. La comisión artística del Festival llevará a cabo la selección de las propuestas presentadas con la finalidad de alcanzar el mejor nivel posible en el ámbito del teatro amateur.

7. La comisión artística seleccionará a un máximo de 14 grupos entre todas las solicitudes recibidas.

8. Las compañías seleccionadas pueden recibir la visita de uno o más miembros de la comisión artística del Festival para comprobar la calidad de la obra presentada en formato DVD.

9. La comisión organizadora facilitará gratuitamente el alojamiento y las comidas a los grupos seleccionados. El festival se reserva el derecho de limitar el número de componentes del grupo con estancia subvencionada según cual sea la
naturaleza de la obra a representar. Los acompañantes deberán hacerse cargo de todos sus gastos.

10. Cada grupo recibirá un total de 400 € en concepto de dietas. Este importe se hará efectivo una vez acabada su representación.

11. Los gastos de viajes y traslados de escenografía hasta la ciudad de Girona irán a cargo de la compañía.

12. Las compañías se comprometen a representar en el Festival el mismo espectáculo presentado en el DVD, tanto en lo que se refiere al número de actores como a la escenografía asi como aportar un documento firmado por el autor conforme renuncia a la gestión de derechos de autor para esta función programada dentro del Fitag 2013.

13. A fin de contribuir a una buena y cuidada promoción del Festival, las compañías deberán estar dispuestas a participar en todas aquellas actividades de difusión que la organización considere necesarias.

14. El Festival Internacional de Girona es un espacio de intercambio de ideas y reflexiones, de conocimiento de otras realidades teatrales. Por ello, se espera de los grupos que participen de la vida de la ciudad y de las actividades paralelas
que se llevan a cabo fuera de los escenarios.

15. Cualquier circunstancia que pudiera surgir y que no esté prevista en estas bases será resuelta por la comisión organizadora.

16. La participación en el Festival Internacional de Teatro Amateur de Girona implica la aceptación de estas bases.

17. Se faculta al presidente y al vicepresidente de la Fundación Casa de Cultura de Girona para resolver las incidencias que se produzcan en el desarrollo de esta convocatoria.

Rules

1. The 13th International Amateur Theatre Festival of Girona hill be held in Girona from 27 to 31 August 2013.

2. Theatre groups must fill online the registration form, print the printable version at the end of the registration process, and send it together with a dvd/vhs and dossier of the show to the next adress: Casa de Cultura. Festival Internacional de Teatre Amateur. (FITAG). Plaça Hospital, 6. 17002 Girona. (SPAIN)

3. The deadline for presentation of works is 8 April 2013. This deadline cannot be extended.

4. From 29 April 2013, the Festival organising committee will notify the groups selected.

5. Being an international festival, it has to be taken into account that the audience is likely to belong to various cultures and, thus, speak different languages. Therefore, additional value will be given to those plays which, by their dramatic features,  can be comprehended by the audience in spite of the language of performance. Any proposals of theatre-dance or gestural theatre performances are well invited to take part in this Festival.

6. The artistic commission of the Festival will make a selection from the works presented, with a view to achieving the highest possible standard of amateur theatre.

7. The artistic commission will select up to 14 groups from the received applications.

8. The selected companies may be visited by one or more members of the assessment commission of the Festival to verify the quality of the work presented in DVD format.

9. The organizing committee will take charge of the maintenance expenses and provide accommodation to the members of each group. The Festival is in the right to limit the number of members in a group with subsidized stay according to
the nature of the performance. Companions will have to pay for their own expenses.

10. Each group will receive a total of 400 euros per diems. This amount will be disbursed once the group's performance is over.

11. Travel and stage set/prop transport expenses to the city of Girona will be borne by the company.

12. Companies undertake to perform the same show they have presented in video or DVD at the Festival, with the same number of actors and stage set.

13. To ensure the proper promotion of the Festival, the companies must be willing and ready to participate in any dissemination activities deemed necessary by the Organisation.

14. The Festival of International Amateur Theatre in Girona is a good occasion for the exchange of ideas and reflections, as well as for the knowledge of other theatrical proposals. Therefore, we suggest that the groups take part in the day to-
day life of the city of Girona and also in other parallel off-stage events.

15. Any situation that might arise and is not covered in these rules will be decided by the organising committee.

16. Participation in the International Amateur Theatre Festival of Girona involves acceptance of these rules.

17. The chairman or the deputy chairman of the Girona Provincial Council are authorised to resolve any incident(s) that might arise during the holding of this event.
